I was approached by label founder of NLS records James Howe. Originally I was meant to only feature with one track, but seeing as I had worked on a couple of scetches for a long time I got two on this super great compilation.

The first track, Udaeus, is an ambient piece recorded live, with just a few takes to get the timing right. No multitrack, no post-processing. Just me, fm synthesis and semi-modular effects. A soft, slow-burning ambient jam, with some of my own field recordings. The second track, Regio, is quite different. I mangled some of my own percussion and drum sounds recorded live and ran them through loads of granular delay. Interestingly enough, most of the track sounds like some of the talking drums in the ceremony room in the Marvel movie Black Panther, where T’Challa goes to visit the ancestral plain. This was of course in no way intentional, just a funny accident.

Project AØA is an inception for various artists per sa audio on audio, reason is simplicity with the connecting algorithmic system to create hardware or software to accompany the sound made by producer to fill in that unique void in NLS (online system.)
